On 7 August 2024, Corus Entertainment Inc (TSX: CJR.B) announced that as part of its ongoing efforts to focus the business on sustainability, the company has made the decision to eliminate the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. As a result, Greg McLelland will step down from this position effective 31 August 2024, and Barb McKergow will assume the expanded role of Senior Vice President, Advertising at Corus. McKergow will report to Troy Reeb, Co-Chief Executive Officer, and join Corus' Senior Leadership Team.

"Under Greg's leadership, Corus has developed industry-leading advertising solutions and created a unique selling proposition that delivers results for our clients. In industry associations, Greg has helped evolve the way our industry measures and uses data. I want to thank Greg for his unforgettable contributions to Corus, especially for nurturing our industry-leading brands and employees," said Troy Reeb, Co-Chief Executive Officer.

"Succession planning is an integral part of our strategy, and Barb is a long-standing and widely recognised leader who brings extensive experience and passion for our products and customers. This leadership transition demonstrates Corus' commitment to investing in areas that help our partners grow their business through our premium content and engaged audiences."

In her expanded role, McKergow will oversee all areas of advertising sales, revenue management, research, advanced advertising and data teams, with the goal of delivering the insight, customer service and sales power that Corus advertisers rely on.

McLelland leaves Corus with a legacy of market-leading performance based on a client-centric, data-driven approach that has fostered meaningful relationships with advertisers and talent. During his two-decade career in media, McLelland has driven growth and innovation through his work with clients, industry organisations and boards.

McKergow's appointment comes into force on 1 September 2024.
