According to Press Release Felicitas Woll as local reporter Beke Rieper was a hit with ZDF audiences. Consequently, now Real Film two further 90-minute films.

The new Herzkino series "Neuer Wind im Alten Land" was one of ZDF's positive spring surprises in April, with 5.39 million viewers at 18.5 per cent for the opening episode. The second film performed somewhat weaker. Nevertheless, filming is now continuing on two further films, which should be completed by 31 October.

Local reporter Beke Rieper, played by Woll, goes on another research hunt in the two 90-minute films. The film is directed by Dirk Pientka from scripts by Kirsten Peters and Gerlind Becker. Many of the actors from the first season are back, including Hildegard Schroedter and Volker Meyer-Dabisch as Beke's parents and Steve Windolf as her childhood sweetheart Gerd Rieper.

Filming will again take place in the Elbmarsch region south of Hamburg, with interior shots also taking place in Berlin. Jakob Krebs (Real Film) is the producer, Beate Bramstedt is the ZDF editor in charge. The two Herzkino films are expected to be broadcast in spring 2025.
