The 18th Semi-Final Round of Judging of the International Emmy Awards took place in Cologne on 29 August. Two high-calibre juries headed by Nathaniel Brendel, the Academy Judging Director, selected nominees in the Drama Series and Documentary categories. In the evening, the Cologne Emmy Cocktail was organised at Schloss Arff, where host Leopold Hoesch welcomed around 200 prominent guests from various fields. The event was supported by numerous organisations and companies, including the NRW State Chancellery, RTL Deutschland and ZDF.
