Unlike in the last few years of the Television Awards, according to Press Release This time, none of the major production groups clearly dominated the number of nominations. Instead Turbo culture together with the Beta Film Group to first place, also Florida is at the forefront again.
Just like last year, Jan Mojto's Beta Film Group is once again at the top of the producer rankings for the TV award nominations in 2024 - but while it still led the field by a wide margin back then with a total of twelve nominations, this year it has to share the place on the winner's podium with Turbokultur. This time, both have a total of seven nominations. The independent Berlin production company Turbokultur, run by David Hadda and Martin Danisch, owes this strong result largely to the series "Die Zweiflers", which is on the list of nominees in six categories alone, making it the most nominated production overall this year. Turbokultur's strong year is rounded off by the nomination of "Bosetti Late Night" as best comedy/late night.
In addition to Seapoint, Beta Film's subsidiaries Bantry Bay and Good Friends also contributed to the result this time.
But not only is first place shared, two production companies also share third place behind it: Florida Entertainment, one of the independent production companies from Berlin, is at the top here, as it was last year.
The Leonine Group also achieved six nominations, one more than in the previous year. They are followed by ZDF Studios, the UFA companies and Gaumont with five nominations each.
The Constantin Group has a total of three nominations - but if you go one level higher, you end up with Highlight Communications, which also includes the sports division and therefore Plazamedia, which co-produced the basketball World Cup coverage for Magenta TV. This puts Highlight at a total of four nominations and on a par with Banijay, which was successful with its subsidiaries Endemol Shine and Brainpool.
The entire Bavaria Group, which shot up to second place last year, is further down the field this time with a total of three nominations, as is btf, which also has a total of three nominations. All3Media and BBC Studios are also at this level.
