The second crime thriller for ZDF is currently being produced in the Gastein Valley in Austria under the working title "Der Geier II - Freund oder Feind". The main character is former detective inspector and pop musician Lukas Geier (Philipp Hochmair), who has to face his past again when a mafia hitman (Mark Waschke) turns up. The film is being produced by Network Movie and Graf Film, directed by Florian Baxmeyer and written by Dirk Eisfeld. The first film "Der Geier - Die Tote mit dem falschen Leben" will be broadcast on ZDF on 16 September 2024.
