Major police operation at a school in Magdeburg. 17-year-old Jeremy (Mikke Rasch) is running amok. He has already shot two people. Now he holes himself up in a fully occupied classroom and takes the pupils and their teacher (Tanya Erartsin) hostage. Brasch begins to find out more about Jeremy under high pressure. Her investigation leads her to Jeremy's home, where she meets his single mother Rebecca (Maja Beckmann). Rebecca is largely confined to bed due to her MS. She is dependent on Jeremy's care and support. She claims to have been unaware of his radicalisation and the meticulous preparations for the killing spree. How could it happen that Jeremy's change went unnoticed? Why did Jeremy go on the rampage? Did he act alone or did he have accomplices? Brasch is faced with the difficult task of deciphering Jeremy's motivations, persuading him to give up and preventing further fatalities.
