As of 1 October, the LETTERBOX FILM PRODUCTION Daniela Mussgiller will be responsible for the acquisition, development and production of new and existing formats as a producer. Most recently, she spent three years as head of the "Television Film, Series & Children" department at MDR in Leipzig.

About the person: Daniela Mussgiller was born and raised in Munich in 1974. After several years of professional experience in many areas of film and television production, she studied "Production and Media Business" at the University of Television and Film in Munich from 1996. Since 2001 she has worked as an editor at NDR and since 2016 as deputy head of the "Film, Family & Series" department. In addition to television, cinema and debut films, she was also responsible for crime formats on Sunday evenings. She developed both Tatort with Wotan Wilke Möhring and Polizeiruf 110 Rostock with Anneke Kim Sarnau, Charly Hübner and Lina Beckmann. In 2021, she moved to MDR in Leipzig as head of the "Television Film, Series & Children" department. She was a member of the ARD Coordination Fiction, the joint editorial offices for series in the main evening and early evening programmes as well as the film funding committees of MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, nordmedia - Film- und Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen/Bremen and the FFA.
