On 1 November, Nurhan Şekerci-Porst joins the team of Constantin Film. She previously worked with Fatih Akin for many years. Oliver Berben, CEO of the Munich-based company, is particularly pleased about the new addition: "What a win for us! We are extremely pleased that Nurhan Şekerci-Porst is joining our team. According to Press Release Nurhan Şekerci-Porst studied English literature and political science in Marburg, Bristol and Hamburg. Since 2005, she has worked closely with filmmaker Fatih Akin in his production company corazón international and has worked on acclaimed cinema films, including "On the Other Side" and "Soul Kitchen". Other projects include "Chiko", "Takva - Fear of God", "Min Dît - The Children of Diyarbakir" and the documentary "Mama Coca", which was shot in Colombia. The long-term documentary "Garbage in the Garden of Eden", which was filmed in Turkey, celebrated its premiere in the Special Screenings section at Cannes in 2012.

In 2012, Şekerci-Porst founded the production company bombero international together with Fatih Akin. As managing producer and authorised signatory, she was responsible for internationally co-produced films such as "The Cut" and "Out of Nothing", for which Diane Kruger was awarded Best Actress in Cannes in 2017 and the film was nominated for a Golden Globe.

This was followed in 2019 by the horror film adaptation of the novel "The Golden Glove" and in 2021 by the co-produced Indonesian film "Vengeance is Mine, All Others Pay Cash" by Edwin, which was awarded the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival. The gangster epic "Rheingold" (2022) with Emilio Sakraya reached over one million viewers and won the Bavarian Film Award for Best Film. She also developed the mini-series "Marlene Dietrich" with Akin, starring Diane Kruger as Marlene.

Şekerci-Porst is a member of the German and European Film Academy. In 2020 she was a jury member in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival and since 2023 she has been an advisory board member at the Hamburg Media School for the Master's programme in Film.
