Michael Krummenacher recently presented his favourite project "Landesverräter" at the 20th Zurich Film Festival. Together with his wife, producer Gwendolin Stolz, he is planning to set up his own production company called Lanigiro Hot Club, which is due to launch later this year. The new company will produce or co-produce Krummenacher's own projects as well as works by other filmmakers.

The aim of the company is to work with creative minds whose ideas appeal to them and to realise films that are not common in Germany. Krummenacher and Stolz share a great passion for genre cinema, which they believe is often neglected in Germany.

Krummenacher, who appreciates a wide range of genres, is currently developing several projects, including a horror film and a children's film. His previous work includes the mystery thriller "Like a Cast Shadow" and the successful children's film "The Robber Hotzenplotz".

With the founding of Lanigiro Hot Club, Krummenacher is pursuing the approach of telling fresh and unconventional stories and thus setting new impulses in the German film landscape.
