According to Press Release Meike Götz will join the management board of nordmedia - Film- und Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen/Bremen mbh at the beginning of 2025 and take over the responsibilities of Thomas Schäffer, who has successfully built up and managed nordmedia since 2001, as sole managing director on 1 March 2025.

Meike Götz now works as an editor in the "Television Film, Series, Children" department at Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk. From this time, she brings with her extensive expertise in the development, financing and exploitation of film and television projects, such as "Polizeiruf 110 aus Halle" and the event series "Oktoberfest 1900/1905". Through the project management of various cinema and debut films there, such as "Herbert" or "Mit der Faust in die Welt schlagen", she also developed into a contact person for cinema and newcomer projects and built up a far-reaching national and international network.

Meike Götz began her career by studying film and television production at the Film University "Konrad Wolf". She then worked as a junior producer at UFA in Potsdam before becoming a freelance producer and producer for various production companies. During her career, the films she has supervised have won the German Television Award, the German Film Award in Gold and Silver, as well as a Student Academy Award, among others. In 2024, she completed a postgraduate degree in European Film Business & Law with an MBA. Meike Götz is currently a member of the awards committee of Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung.
