Director Nina Vukovic is currently staging the new "Tatort" from Munich: "Zugzwang" is the 98th case for detectives Leitmayr and Batic. Together with Kalli Hammermann, they have to solve a murder during an international chess tournament at a luxury hotel in the Alps. While the game is being played on the big stage, the detectives have to investigate behind the scenes. But the perpetrator always seems to be one step ahead of them.

In addition to Udo Wachtveitl, Miroslav Nemec, Ferdinand Hofer and Robert Joseph Bartl, the cast includes Roxane Duran, Max Befort, Robert Dölle, Bardo Böhlefeld and Husam Chadat.

The screenplay for "Zugzwang" (AT) was written by Robert Löhr. The "Tatort" is produced by Bavaria Fiction (Producer: Ronald Mühlfellner) on behalf of BR, edited by Cornelius Conrad. The programme is scheduled to be broadcast in 2025.
