A comedy with the working title "Eine Million" is currently being filmed in Berlin and Brandenburg, based on a screenplay by Ralf Husmann and directed by Francis Meletzky.

The film centres on Kristina Lurz (played by Silke Bodenbender), the newly elected mayor of a small town in Germany. She has great political ambitions and already sees herself on the way to the Bundestag. Her husband Lennart (Christian Erdmann), on the other hand, would be satisfied with a promotion to IT manager at the largest employer in the region. But Rico (Joshua Seelenbinder), a younger and more ambitious colleague, is chosen over him.

When the German government is looking for pilot projects to bring Indian IT specialists to Germany, Kristina sees this as a win-win opportunity: more attention for the city and an opportunity for Lennart to strengthen his position. But suddenly a computer virus paralyses all the systems in the city. An unknown person demands a ransom of one million euros, otherwise all the data will be lost. In an emergency, Lennart's boss, Dr Joachim Kraft (Jörg Schüttauf), is asked to provide the city with the requested sum. Mutual mistrust soon sets in and everyone suspects everyone else. It turns out that many people in the small town have secrets - not least Kristina's own husband Lennart and their son Felix (Leo Knizka).

Other roles are played by Hinnerk Schönemann, Alexander Hörbe, Hanna Plaß, Inga Dietrich, Nico Holonics, Sebastian Schwarz and others. It is produced by MadeFor Film GmbH (Producers: Ralf Husmann and Gunnar Juncken, executive producer: Adrienne Selmke). Heike Lagé is the responsible ZDF editor.
