The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW honoured cinema operators from North Rhine-Westphalia for the 34th time with the Cinema Programme Award awards. At a festive dinner, the Filmstiftung honoured the outstanding programmes that impressed with an excellent selection or showed valuable children's and youth films. The Filmstiftung paid out a total of Top sum of 1 million. euros. A total of 76 cinemas from 47 cities North Rhine-Westphalia was honoured. An honorary award went to the cinema operator Mustafa El Mesaoudi. Here you can find all further information. 

The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW has been honouring cinemas with this important award since 1991. Last year, a total of 74 cinemas from 46 cities in North Rhine-Westphalia were awarded prizes with a total value of 1 million euros. Over the past 33 years, up to 2023, around 15.4 million euros have been awarded to committed cinema operators from NRW.
