French producer Dimitri Rassam is launching Yapluka, a new European finance and distribution company supported by industry leaders such as Pathé, M6 and CMA Media. Following successes such as "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "The Three Musketeers", Rassam plans to realise larger projects with a global focus.

Yapluka will finance films with budgets of between 20 and 80 million dollars and is aiming for 3-4 productions per year. The first project is a film adaptation of Maurice Druon's "The Cursed Kings" with a release date of 2026. Rassam wants to bring talents and studios together and strengthen European films internationally.

Experienced partners such as Patrick Wachsberger support the initiative, which aims to promote high quality and bold projects. Further film announcements are being planned.
