Leopold Grün has extended his managing director contract at VISION KINO, the network for film and media competence, for a further five years and at the same time a realignment is becoming visible in the management structure in the 20th year of VISION KINO's existence: From January 2025, Farnaz Sassanzadeh will strengthen the management level as head of projects and personnel at VISION KINO, working together with the management to further develop future film education work and expand the anti-discrimination perspective.

The change was initiated by the management itself and is, among other things, the result of a process critical of discrimination that has encouraged VISION KINO to initiate structural and content-related innovations in order to minimise all forms of discrimination. The starting point was the film education project "Film Macht Mut", which is critical of racism and anti-Semitism and has made film education work sustainably more diverse over the past three years with funding from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

Farnaz Sassanzadeh has been the overall coordinator of "Film Macht Mut" since 2022. In this role, she has been committed to raising awareness of discrimination throughout Germany in terms of content and personnel development and has helped the VISION KINO team itself to develop an organisation that is critical of discrimination.

Leopold Grün: "I am very pleased to continue my work at and with VISION KINO under new auspices. The inclusion of Farnaz Sassanzadeh at management level makes the anti-discrimination perspective visible not just as a project, but as a cross-sectional task, and is an important step towards future-oriented organisational development. Welcome, Farnaz!"

Farnaz Sassanzadeh: "I am very much looking forward to working with Leopold and the entire VISION KINO team! It is particularly important to me to further anchor film mediation and the anti-discrimination perspective not only in our projects, but also in our daily work. I would like to thank you for your trust and look forward to the challenges and changes ahead!"
