Disney has recruited a new manager for its live-action film division: According to US industry media "Walt Disney World News Today" and "Variety", Daria Cercek takes over the position of President and is thus responsible for the entire development and production of the studio's live-action cinema adaptations.
Daria Cercek herself is enthusiastic about her new role: "Disney has set the standard for narrative masterpieces for decades and created some of the most popular characters and stories that have fascinated generations of viewers worldwide. Like many others, I grew up with the magic of Disney. So it is a great honour for me to join Alan Bergman, David and this extraordinary team. I look forward to working with them and the most visionary filmmakers of our time to further develop the studio's outstanding legacy."
David Greenbaum, who has headed the live-action film division of Disney and 20th Century Studios since February last year, emphasises: "Daria's unique creative talent, her passion for storytelling and her extensive experience working with world-renowned filmmakers are a perfect complement to Disney's mission to create timeless cinematic experiences."
