Hamburg, 4 March 2025 - The sixth season of the lawyer series DIE KANZLEI ended last Tuesday with a new ratings record. The 13 episodes, broadcast from 22 October 2024 to 25 February 2025, achieved an average market share of 18.7 percent of the total audience. This makes the sixth season the most successful since the start of the series in 2015, with the 66th episode "Leichte Beute" achieving the highest market share of a single episode at 20.5 per cent. The 67th episode, "Nackte Tatsachen", also exceeded the 20 per cent mark.

Since 18 February, the Hamburg Filming the seventh season which is expected to be broadcast in autumn 2026. In the 13 new episodes, lawyer Isa von Brede (Sabine Postel) and her partner Markus Gellert (Herbert Knaup) once again fight with all their heart and soul for their clients, who have to fend off tenant nomads, messiahs, murderers and even a "witch". Helping justice to be served is not without risk for the lawyers: Isa is taken hostage by a stalker, while Gellert is threatened with criminal charges for party treason. To his private grief, the new chief inspector (Stephan Luca) has crashed his marriage proposal to public prosecutor Barbara Geldermann (Esther Schweins). He is still married to Gellert's girlfriend and wants his wife back. All scripts were written by Thorsten Näter, the film is directed by Dirk Pientka, Susanne Boeing and Torsten Wacker.

Shooting of DIE KANZLEI - the television film on the Friday slot in the first programme:
KANZLEI's second individual film will be shot in July 2025. In the 90-minute film WEITES LAND (written by Thorsten Näter and directed by Torsten Wacker), the members of the law firm are sent to a farm on the Baltic coast. After an accident involving the farmer's wife, Isa has to run the farm and settle a dispute in the farming family, with Gellert, assistant Charlie (Mathilde Bundschuh) and mother Marion (Marie Anne Fliegel) rushing to her aid. The programme has not yet been broadcast.
