From 2026, the ARD subsidiary OneGate Media will take over the film and licence trading tasks for Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). This decision follows a tender that was held in 2024, in which OneGate Media prevailed over other providers. The partnership includes the purchase of fictional and non-fictional programmes, the worldwide distribution of the broadcaster's programme content and the sale of archive material. These areas are of central importance to SRF, as they both influence programme design and represent an important source of income. At the same time, the distribution of SRF content and the sale of archive rights contribute to the broadcaster's international visibility.
Tania Reichert-Facilides, Managing Director of OneGate Media, expressed her enthusiasm about the contract and sees it as an important confirmation for the further development of her company. She emphasises that the partnership with SRF will make Switzerland known worldwide via various digital and traditional platforms. Stefano Semeria, Head of Distribution at SRF, explained that by choosing OneGate Media, the company wanted to orientate its film and licence trading towards the future. OneGate Media's solution was chosen for its modern and agile business model and its digital orientation, which will help SRF to tap into new market potential.
