Aniplex Inc. and Crunchyroll have announced that they are jointly investing in the creation of HAYATE Inc.a new anime production company. HAYATE will focus on the planning, development and production of anime content that will be available worldwide on the Crunchyroll streaming service.
The new company will be led by Masanori Miyaki, Chairman and CEO, and Leo Watanabe, President and COO - both from the Aniplex team. The company, which is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, focuses on first-class contentwhich combines Aniplex's many years of production experience and its partnerships with a large number of creators and studios with Crunchyroll's development, marketing and distribution expertise.
According to the official press release, HAYATE aims to provide anime fans worldwide with high-quality content to inspire. Aniplex brings its extensive production expertise and Crunchyroll its strong connections to the anime community and passionate fandoms.
