Munich, 2 April 2025 - The internationally renowned camera and lighting technology manufacturer ARRI is strengthening its management team and focussing on innovation and new markets. With the addition of industry experts David Bermbach and Christian Richter to the management team, the company is emphasising its commitment to technological development and global growth.

New managing director roles for innovation and sales

In addition to Walter Trauninger, who has helped shape the company's fortunes for many years, David Bermbach will take over responsibility for Strategy & Innovation and Christian Richter for Sales & Rental. Both executives have many years of experience in the media and entertainment industry and have already played a decisive role in shaping ARRI in the past.

"With David Bermbach and Christian Richter, we have been able to recruit two outstanding experts for the management board. Together with Walter Trauninger, they will consistently focus ARRI on the future of the media & entertainment sector. Our goal remains to position ARRI as the preferred partner for creative professionals worldwide - through technological innovation, customer proximity and new business ideas," explains Dr Walter Stahl, Managing Director of ARRI GmbH and member of the founding family.

Technology leadership as a success factor

ARRI has been synonymous with innovation in film technology for decades. As recently as March 2025, an ARRI engineer received the prestigious Scientific and Technical Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - already the 20th honour of this kind for the company. "As a new team, we will consistently pursue this path of continuous technological innovation, reliability and customer proximity," emphasises Managing Director Walter Trauninger.

Future-orientated investments

As a family-run company with a stable capital base, ARRI makes targeted investments in the further development of its portfolio. The focus is on the core competences of camera, sensor and lighting technology, while at the same time new business areas such as cloud solutions, digital twins and artificial intelligence are being developed. "Our goal is to provide the industry with state-of-the-art integrated solutions," says David Bermbach.

New products and markets in our sights

ARRI sets new standards with innovative products, including the more compact and lighter ALEXA 265 and the budget-friendly ALEXA 35 Base. The portfolio for live entertainment and corporate customers is also being expanded. "In addition to our technological advances and new business areas, we are also focussing on markets such as Saudi Arabia and Latin America in order to optimally exploit the potential there," adds Christian Richter.

With the strategic expansion of the management team and targeted investments in innovation and new markets, ARRI remains a reliable partner for the film and media industry worldwide.
