On 1 July 2025, Andreas Zaik will hand over the management of the well-known Cologne-based TV producer i&u TV. His successor at the helm will be Jochen Köstler, who has been Managing Director of the entertainment division since the beginning of 2024. In addition, Vincenz Deckert, previously responsible for information formats such as STERN TV and documentaries, will take on the role of Editor-in-Chief.

Zaik can look back on over three decades at i&u TV. He started at STERN TV together with Günther Jauch in 1990. Since then, the company has developed under his leadership into a major producer of reports, talk shows, documentaries and entertainment programmes. He is now retiring from day-to-day business and is convinced that his successor team will continue to run the company successfully.

Jochen Köstler praises Zaik's achievements and recognises his contribution to the success of i&u TV. He emphasises that with Vincenz Deckert, an experienced journalist is taking over responsibility in the information sector and will continue the high quality of reporting.

Deckert himself is delighted with the trust placed in him and emphasises his ambition to continue delivering high-quality and balanced journalism. He particularly emphasises the instructive collaboration with Andreas Zaik.
