LEONINE Studios has completely taken over Dolphin Medien GmbH from Wiesbaden as of 3 June 2025. The media company is thus strengthening its licence library with numerous popular films and classics.

Dolphin Medien is an experienced provider of film rights in German-speaking countries and manages around 200 titles. The rights to 27 films starring Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are particularly well known, including classics such as "Zwei außer Rand und Band" and "Vier Fäuste gegen Rio". The portfolio also includes renowned films such as Martin Scorsese's "Casino" and "Papillon" with Steve McQueen. The range is complemented by many Christmas films and current productions such as "Diablo" with Scott Adkins.

Dolphin Medien will be integrated into LEONINE Licensing GmbH in the coming months. In future, all rights will be managed and marketed centrally by LEONINE Studios.

Fred Kogel, CEO of LEONINE Studios, is delighted about the expansion: "With this acquisition, our partners from streaming, TV and media libraries will receive an even more diverse range of films that will meet with great interest from audiences."

Benjamin Krause, founder of Dolphin Medien, looks back on his long time with the cult films: "I sold the first Bud Spencer & Terence Hill films 25 years ago as a teenager and accompanied Terence Hill's last cinema film many years later. Now I'm handing over the film rights to LEONINE, who will take them forward in the best possible way."

With this acquisition, LEONINE Studios is further expanding its range and securing valuable film classics and new titles for the German market.
