The MediaTech Hub Conference (#MTHCON25) will take place at Studio Babelsberg from 24 to 25 September 2025. The event brings together experts and creatives to discuss current challenges and innovations in film, TV, streaming and digital media production. The first day will focus on analysing the media industry: topics such as competitive pressure, market fragmentation, rising costs and new business models will be highlighted by industry leaders such as Jörg Bachmaier and Mark Harrison. At the same time, Udbhav Tiwari will focus on the importance of digital freedom and the invisible infrastructure behind the platforms. Technological trends relating to virtual production, AI and streaming will be discussed, as will the influence of the creator community on traditional media. In the evening, the conference invites you to a get-together.
The second day begins with a Danish breakfast and exclusive tours of Studio Babelsberg. This will be followed by sessions on multi-platform distribution, where experts from Samsung, RTL and ITV Studios will present strategies for successful content playout on various devices. Denmark will be presented as a guest country focussing on film, TV and start-ups. A particular focus will be on the use of generative AI in film production. Representatives from Bytedance and Amazon AWS will show how AI is changing workflows and expanding creative possibilities. They will also discuss ethical issues in dealing with AI. At the Startup Demo Day, young companies from Brandenburg will present their innovations, which will be honoured with prizes at the end. The conference will end with a review of the most important MediaTech trends.
#MTHCON25 offers two days of inspiration and networking for all those who want to help shape the future of media.
