The popular ZDF heart cinema series "New wind in the old country" is being continued: Two new films are currently being made with Felicitas Woll in the leading role. The film is shot in the idyllic Elbmarsch near Hamburg and in Berlin.
Between online love and blackout
In the seventh episode, local reporter Beke Rieper (Wool) into a romantic enquiry that turns out quite differently than planned. Friend Rosie (Anna König) raves about a great love she claims to have met via a classified ad portal. But when Beke visits the mysterious Toni (Jonathan Müller) in Berlin, he denies knowing Rosie at all. The supposed love story develops into an exciting game of confusion between truth and deception.
The eighth film takes on a more dramatic tone: A widespread power cut in the Altes Land region causes chaos - and a dangerous adventure for Beke. She actually only wanted to help a trainee from Hanse-Energie at work. But it soon becomes clear that young Jonah (Alessandro Schuster) is more than just a dutiful apprentice. As an environmental activist, he has apparently interfered with the power grid - and quickly takes Beke hostage to spread his message to the world.
Strong line-up and familiar team
In addition to Woll, König, Müller and Schuster, the following are among others Steve Windolf, Hildegard Schroedter, Volker Meyer-Dabisch, Anne Roemeth, Halima Ilter and Theo Trebs with them. Behind the camera, ZDF is once again relying on a well-rehearsed creative team: Dirk Pientka directs, the scripts were written by Beate Fraunholz, Ulrike Zinke and head author Kirsten Peters. The films are produced by the REAL FILM Berlin GmbH on behalf of ZDF.
The series aims to captivate its audience in the new episodes with fresh stories ranging from the chaos of love to a sense of home and socially relevant topics - heartbreak included.
