The filming of the successful ARD series Practice with sea view are in full swing. Three new films starring Tanja Wedhorn as the doctor Nora Kaminski have been in production on the island of Rügen, in Berlin and Potsdam since the end of August. By the end of November Cast off (AT), Hit into luck (AT) and Out of the blue (AT) has three new episodes on the filming schedule.

Once again, Kaminski, who has delighted fans on Friday evenings for years, has to assert herself both professionally and privately. Between complicated medical cases, crises in the closest family circle and personal turning points, the doctor once again demonstrates all her strength and empathy.

  • In Cast off (AT), Nora fights for the trust of her son Kai, who is in a deep crisis. At the same time, a mysterious patient pushes her and Dr Stresow (Benjamin Grüter) to their limits.

  • Hit into luck (AT) leads Nora to an addiction clinic by the sea, where Kai takes an important step forwards. But a surprising diagnosis for ex-footballer Julia Fechner forces mother and son to take responsibility together.

  • In Out of the blue (AT), Nora accompanies a young woman into an uncertain future after a spontaneous birth - and begins to scrutinise her own life choices anew.

In addition to Tanja Wedhorn, the ensemble also includes Benjamin Grüter, Morgane Ferru, Patrick Heyn, Marco Girnth and many others. The film is directed by Jan Ruzicka, with scripts by Anja Flade-Kruse, Michael Vershinin and Marcus Hertneck. The films are produced by Real Film Berlin on behalf of ARD Degeto.

With the new episodes, the series continues its mix of emotional family stories, medical mysteries and North German coastal flair - and is likely to remain a favourite with audiences even in its 30th episode.
