The film industry is getting a breath of fresh air: Julia Weigl, previously Artistic Director of Filmfest München, has been officially appointed as the new Chairwoman of the AG Film Festival was elected. She takes over from Daniel Sponsel, who is now President of the University of Television and Film (HFF) in Munich.
With her many years of experience in festival organisation, Weigl brings new impetus to the AG Filmfestival. The industry expects her to further strengthen cooperation between the festivals and drive forward innovative projects.
"I am very much looking forward to working with my colleagues in the AG Filmfestival and to further developing the diversity and quality of our festivals together," said Weigl in her first statement after the election.
