Christian Rohde has been promoted to Chief of Staff and Transformation Officer at UFA and is to make the traditional studio fit for the future. At the same time, Natalie Clausen leaves the company for Netflix.

Potsdam, 20 October 2025 - Something is happening at UFA: the traditional studio is turning its management structure upside down and will focus even more strongly on transformation and strategy in future. New on board is Christian Rohde, who will take over as Chief of Staff and Transformation Officer and thus reports directly to CEO Sascha Schwingel. At the same time, Rohde will join the management board.

In his new role, Rohde will take on central organisational tasks and drive UFA forward in its further development. "With Christian, we are gaining a 'doer' who knows UFA well and is actively involved in shaping change," says Schwingel.

At the same time Natalie Clausen, previously COO, at his own request. Clausen returns to Netflix where she continues as Director Production DACH. "Natalie has done an impressive job in a short space of time. We wish her all the best for her next steps," says Schwingel.

Rohde himself is motivated: "After exciting years at Constantin Film, I am looking forward to my new role at UFA. I see the challenges of the industry as an opportunity, especially in a team that actively embraces change."

The 47-year-old has experience in film and series: After working for teamWorx, Magic Flight Film and UFA Fiction, he was responsible for productions such as THE DIPLOMAT and THE INFORMANT. Rohde has also been a lecturer and honorary professor at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy for many years - so he not only knows the industry, but also the next generation.

With Rohde at the helm of the transformation, UFA is entering a new phase: more structure, more strategy - and hopefully even more creative energy.
