ProSiebenSat.1 has reorganised the management structure of its marketing subsidiary Seven. One Media. With immediate effect, Nicola Lussana will take over as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO. He succeeds the previous top management and will drive the company's next phase of growth.
Lussana comes from the Italian Publitalia '80, where he worked for more than 25 years in management positions - most recently as Managing Director. The manager is regarded as an experienced strategist in the European media and advertising industry, with a focus on cross-media marketing models. His previous positions also include Mediamond and Publieurope, where he was also a member of the board.
Together with Dr Markus Messerer and Lennart Harendzawho will act as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) respectively, Lussana will further develop the operational and strategic direction of Seven. One Media. Messerer will assume responsibility for the operating business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as for the areas of technology and transformation. Harendza will take over the management of sales, agency business and creative marketing activities.
According to ProSiebenSat.1, the realignment is aimed at embedding Seven. One Media more strongly in a European media ecosystem and further expanding its market presence in German-speaking countries. The Group aims to consolidate its position with national and international advertising clients by more closely linking content, data and commercial strategies.
Marco Giordani, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, described Lussana's appointment as "an important step in strengthening the company's presence in Central Europe and driving forward its long-term growth strategy".
Lussana himself emphasised the importance of a European perspective: "The closer alignment of our activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will help us to expand our international reach and tap into additional growth opportunities."
With the expansion of the management team, ProSiebenSat.1 is sending a further signal for the Group's reorganisation towards a more integrated, internationally oriented media group.
