Artificial intelligence, extended reality and visual effects have long been an integral part of moving image production. They are not only changing production processes, but also narrative forms, distribution channels and the demands placed on teams behind the camera.
On 28 November 2025 invites the initiative Start Into Media to an online event under the title "Future Readiness Moving Image" in. Between 10:00 and 13:00 experts from practice and education will discuss how the industry can adapt to technological developments and which skills will be in demand in the future.
The guests include Elfi Kerscher (Hyperbowl), Oliver Czeslik (mYndstorm productions), Stefanie Bieker (VSK) and Annabell Simon (Crew United). They provide insights into current production realities and explain which technologies are currently gaining in importance, which new job profiles are emerging and how role profiles are changing in the production environment.
The focus is on practical perspectives on further training and specialisation - from technical understanding and storytelling skills to new learning paths. In addition to categorising key trends, challenges and opportunities will also be highlighted - for companies that want to make their teams fit for the future, as well as for skilled workers and young talent who want to develop their profile or find their bearings for the first time.
