The 20th edition of TV Drama Vision presents 15 selected projects with its "Series in Development" line-up, which provide an insight into the future of series production. The event, which will take place from 27 to 28 January 2026 as part of the Gothenburg Film Festival places an increased focus on the Co-production and international co-operation.
Under the motto "One Transformation After Another" TV Drama Vision 2026 highlights topics such as Cross-platform IP development, sustainable production, smarter budgeting, storytelling and target group-orientated approaches. The line-up includes eight Nordic projects from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands as well as seven European projects from Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Latvia, Ukraine and Poland.
Nordic highlights: The projects presented include A Phone Rings in the Middle of the Night (SE), Dangerous Woman (FI) and Scandinavia (SE, NO, DK), which are developed by established producers and writing teams.
European projectsInternational co-operations are also in the foreground, including Belle Epoque (BE), Dark Waters (ES) and The Sea (DE, NO, ES). Many projects are created in collaboration with regional film funding organisations and international markets such as Conecta Fiction or Midpoint Institute.
A special highlight of the event is the visit of James SchamusOscar-nominated producer and former CEO of Focus Features. Schamus, who has worked on films such as Brokeback Mountain, Lost in Translation and Dallas Buyers Club will talk about his career, creative visions and current developments in the audiovisual industry in a moderated discussion on 28 January.
TV Drama Vision offers two days High-calibre insights and networkingThe event presents 50 series projects and gathers over 100 speakers on stage. Around 700 trade visitors from the fields of production, broadcasting, streaming and financing are expected.Â
