The Academy of Austrian Film elected a new Board of Directors at its General Assembly on 15 January 2026. Andi G. Hess, Jürgen Karasek and Christine Ludwig were newly elected to the board.

Mercedes Echerer remains Chairwoman of the Academy. The board is thus made up of established industry representatives who help shape the work of the Academy and the further development of the Austrian Film Awards.

Karin C. Berger and Sabine Moser were re-elected as auditors. Berger and Sabine Moser were re-elected as auditors. At the same time, the Academy bid farewell to the previous Board members Birgit Hutter, Anton Noori and Claudia Wohlgenannt and thanked them for their commitment.
