Berlin - 09 February 2026 - Shortly before the Berlinale, the German Producers' Day (DPT26) once again brings together the most important players in film and series production in Germany. Under the motto "Stronger together: Germany's film industry in international competition" stand Innovation, technology trends and international strategies in focus.

Politics and business in dialogue

The speakers include Minister of State Wolfram Weimer, Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil and international guests such as Amanda Borghino (USPA) and Matthew Deaner (Screen Producers Australia). Film policy issues, export strategies and the future of key business models in the industry will be discussed.

Innovation takes centre stage: AI and cinema

Panel discussions shed light on the use of artificial intelligence in film production and the prospects for the Cinema film production in Germany. Representatives from WDR, RTL, ZDF and ProSiebenSat.1 will discuss the opportunities and challenges that technology brings to the industry in a practical way.

Networking and outlook

The day ends with a Get-togetherthat provides space for Exchange, cooperation and networking offers. The DPT26 is thus sending out a clear signal: Germany's film industry not only wants to survive in international competition, it wants to play an active role in shaping it.
