The German producer and long-standing film distribution expert Thorsten Ritter has confirmed a new professional position: In future he will work for Weydemann Bros. will work as a producer and take over the management of the production company's recently established Munich office - a move that will further strengthen the company's international activities.

In October 2025, after more than 13 years as Executive Vice President Acquisitions, Sales & Marketing at Beta Cinema announced his retirement and is now focussing on new projects. At Weydemann Bros. he will now primarily expand international production and co-production activities with a special focus on the UK and the English-speaking market.

Weydemann Bros, founded by Jakob D. and Jonas Weydemann, is known for productions with international resonance and artistic orientation. The company was most recently responsible for projects such as The Outrun and Tiger Stripes. The Munich branch is intended to help further expand the company's presence and co-operations in Europe.

With his extensive experience in international sales and production, Ritter intends to strengthen the Weydemann Bros. portfolio and initiate new strategic partnerships.
