The filming of the international cinema co-production Gould Lover have begun in Munich and the surrounding area. Director and author Andy Sommer realised the film from a screenplay that he wrote together with Gilles Taurand, Hélène Zimmer and Thom Richardson has written.

The production tells the story of the Canadian pianist Glenn Gouldembodied by Jack Farthingwho was at a turning point in his career in New York in 1968. Gould meets the photographer Eleanor Weismann (Sophie Mousel) and develops an intense relationship, while at the same time withdrawing from public appearances. Other roles include David Kross, Jonathan Zaccai, Rony Herman and Leslie Malton. Camera work is by Sarah Blum.

Produced Gould Lover from Amour Fou Luxembourg (Bady Minck, Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu) and Amalia Film (Felix von Poser, Michael Lehmann) in co-production with Eddy Cinéma, Gretchen film, Pamy Mediaproductions, Magic Media and Chaussee SoundVision. The television participants are ZDF and Arte. The production is supported by Film Fund Luxembourg, DFFF, FFF Bavaria, nordmedia and the CNC France promoted.

The film is being made in parallel with shooting in Luxembourg and Canada. Distribution in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is organised by Alpine Republic GmbH adopted.
