The production company Pyjama Pictures GmbH has issued an official statement on its Instagram account from its shareholder and co-founder Christian Ulmen distanced itself. This was the company's response to accusations against the actor and producer that recently became public.
The published post states that the company's employees are "deeply shocked and appalled by the allegations", of which they had no prior knowledge. Those responsible explain that they were not aware of the allegations "until yesterday".
In the statement, Pyjama Pictures explicitly expresses solidarity with victims of abuse: "Our full loyalty and empathy goes out to [...] all victims of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. We condemn violence of any kind - analogue or digital."
Despite the presumption of innocence against Ulmen mentioned in the statement, the company says it is already in talks with him so that he can Returns shareholder shares. Pyjama Pictures also states that Ulmen has no longer been part of the management team since May 2023 and that "no further projects with Christian Ulmen as showrunner are planned".
The Instagram statement was published on 20 March 2026 and represents the official company position on the current development.
