The LEONINE Studios ensure continuity at the top: CEO Fred Kogel will remain with the company in the long term. As the company announced, his contract was terminated in agreement with the Mediawan-Group until 2028.

Kogel has been at the helm of the production and distribution group, which he established together with financial investor KKR, since it was founded in 2019. Since then, LEONINE Studios has developed into one of the leading independent media companies in the German-speaking region. The subsequent integration into the Mediawan Group marked a further step towards international networking and growth.

As part of the contract extension, personnel changes at management level were also announced. Thus Quirin Berg In addition to his current responsibilities, Mr Berg will also take on the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. Berg has already been responsible for the company's fiction division for several years.

In addition Jochen Köstler to the holding company management. As Chief Production Officer Non-Fiction, he will manage the entire Non-Fiction division at Group level in future.

The rest of the management structure remains largely unchanged: Sarah Fischer will continue to be responsible for HR and sustainability, Max Wiedemann will remain in charge of business development and fiction production, among other things, while Bernhard zu Castell will head up the distribution division.

By extending Kogel's contract and expanding the management team, LEONINE Studios and Mediawan are focussing on stability and strategic development in a consolidating European media market.
