On 1 April Lisa Giehl in the management of the production companies Wiedemann & Berg Film and W&B Television has been appointed. In future, she will be responsible for the business operations of both companies.

In parallel to her new role, Giehl will remain with Leonine Studios where she is responsible for film promotion and public policy. In future, she will combine her existing responsibilities with an expanded management function in the production business.

The management remains divided into two parts: Max Wiedemann will continue to lead the two companies as Managing Director, but will increasingly focus on his role as Global Head of AI at Mediawan. There, he drives the strategic development and implementation of artificial intelligence at an international level.

Wiedemann expressly welcomed the expansion in personnel and emphasised that the economic and operational responsibility of the companies would thus remain in experienced hands. At the same time, the new organisation will enable a stronger focus on the global AI strategy.

Giehl also commented on her new role: "Film and television production has always been an area that she is passionate about. She is looking forward to actively shaping the operative production area in addition to her previous responsibilities and to providing impetus for the economic development of the two production companies.
