On 21 and 22 April, the Munich University of Television and Film The MTM Special "AI & MEDIA" will be the meeting place for industry experts, creatives and decision-makers. Artificial intelligence as a key driver of film, TV and media production.

The event, organised by the Media Days Munichsees itself as a platform for dialogue between technology, content and business. The aim is not only to present current developments, but also to critically categorise them and develop concrete perspectives for the industry.

Central questions of the film industry will take centre stage: How are AI-supported tools changing production processes? What new forms of storytelling are emerging? And what impact will automated workflows have on budgets, quality and creative collaboration?

The programme combines keynote speeches, panel discussions and in-depth masterclasses. The programme covers both technological fundamentals and strategic decisions - from the integration of AI into existing production pipelines to new business models and value chains.

Another focus is on the interface between creativity and efficiency: AI opens up new possibilities for scalable content and personalised formats, but at the same time presents producers and clients with fundamental trade-offs. Questions of authorship, control of sensitive content and the role of human creativity remain central to the debate.

With its focus on practical insights and cross-industry dialogue, the MTM Special "AI & MEDIA" is positioning itself as an important source of inspiration for the future direction of the film and media industry. Especially in a phase of profound transformation, the event offers orientation - and shows how closely technological innovation and creative production are now interlinked.
