Filming is currently underway again between Elbmarsch and the capital: for the fourth season of the ZDF heart cinema series "New wind in the old country" two new films are currently being made with Felicitas Woll in the leading role. The actress returns as Beke Rieper - a character who once again has to assert herself between personal conflicts and socially controversial cases.

Filming is scheduled to continue until 23 June in the Elbmarsch region near Hamburg as well as in Berlin. The film will be directed by Dirk Pientka, with scripts by Ulrike Zinke, Gerlind Becker and head writer Kirsten Peters. The series is produced by REAL FILM Berlin GmbH on behalf of ZDF.

Between trust and suspicion

In the episode „Turbulence“ (AT), Beke Rieper comes across an explosive case: the popular club official and pilot Ludwig Schuback, played by Florian Bartholmäi, becomes the focus of her investigation. On the outside, he is seen as committed and respected - but behind the facade, there are increasing discrepancies. Missing club funds and contradictory evidence cast doubt on his integrity.

The case becomes increasingly complex for Beke. The closer she gets to the truth, the more the boundaries between professional duty and personal closeness become blurred. The investigation puts not only her professionalism but also her personal happiness to the test.

When the Internet passes judgement

The second episode „Public shaming“ (AT) picks up on a highly topical issue: A viral video triggers a massive shitstorm in the Altes Land region. At the centre is young Emily Rathke, played by Valerie Stoll, who suddenly finds herself the focus of public outrage.

Beke Rieper finds herself in the middle of a case in which digital dynamics pass judgement faster than the truth comes to light. While she tries to uncover the background and protect Emily, she herself is confronted with moral questions - and her own love life also comes under pressure.

In addition to Felicitas Woll, the cast includes Steve Windolf, Hildegard Schroedter, Volker Meyer-Dabisch, Marion Kracht, Martin Bretschneider, Anne Roemeth, Michael Rothmann, Ingrid Domann, Halima Ilter, Christoph Glaubacker, Sascha Nathan, Tanaz Molaei, Roland Wolf, Florian Bartholomäi, Georg Bütow, Sarah Masuch, Oliver Mommsen, Björn Meyer, Valerie Stoll, Michel Diercks, Elsa Krieger, Egon Berous Schrader, Johannes Heinrichs and Julia Nachtmann join the cast.
