The Leipzig Film Art Fair has officially opened the submission and accreditation phase for its 26th edition. The industry event will take place in Leipzig from 14 to 18 September 2026 and is regarded as the key meeting place for the German arthouse and specialist cinema market.

Film distributors can now submit their titles for the festival programme. The deadline for submissions is 10 July 2026. According to the organisers, up to around 80 films are once again expected to be screened as part of the festival.

At the same time, accreditation for trade visitors has also begun. Cinema operators, distributors, producers and other industry representatives can already register to attend. Accreditation is carried out online via the event’s official system.

Alongside the film programme, the Leipzig Film Art Fair is once again offering an extensive supporting programme of panel discussions and seminars. The focus is on the current challenges facing the cinema and distribution sectors, as well as potential strategic and economic solutions for independent film distribution.

The Film Art Fair is organised by the AG Cinema - Guild, the trade association for German arthouse cinemas.
