FILMFEST MÜNCHEN is further expanding its industry programme for 2026. As part of the Industry Days, running from 28 June to 3 July, filmmakers, producers and industry representatives will come together to discuss the latest developments in the film and television industry, drive new projects forward and forge international contacts.
One key focus is on promoting international co-productions. This year’s fifth CineCoPro Conference will centre on the Nordic countries. Under the title „The Five Nordics“, producers from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden will come together with German industry representatives. The programme includes masterclasses, pitching sessions and networking events, and aims to provide fresh impetus for collaboration between Germany and the Nordic film markets.
According to the organisers, the CineCoPro Conference has become a key part of the industry programme. Alongside specialist events, informal networking sessions are also designed to encourage discussion amongst participants.
Another key focus is the new First Cut+ Munich initiative, launched by FILMFEST MÜNCHEN in collaboration with TATINO. The programme is aimed at six selected feature film projects currently in the post-production phase. Producers and directors receive workshops and consultations in advance on marketing, positioning, festival strategy and international distribution.
During the Industry Days, the teams will then present their projects to an international audience of industry professionals. The programme is complemented by one-to-one meetings, talks and networking opportunities. The aim is to raise the profile of the selected films on the international market and prepare them for festival screenings and distribution.
In addition, the festival is committed to promoting young talent and new networking formats. Additional events are designed to bring up-and-coming filmmakers together with established industry representatives and to strengthen dialogue within the industry.
Through its combination of international co-production support, professional project development and talent development, FILMFEST MÜNCHEN underlines its ambition to be a key platform for the German-speaking and European film industries.
