Filming for the second series of the comedy series „Ghosts“ have begun. The German adaptation of the successful British programme is being produced by BBC Studios Germany Commissioned by WDR. Filming will once again take place at Bergerhausen Castle near Kerpen.

In the six new episodes, Emma and Felix – played by Cristina do Rego and Benito Bause – are facing their next big step: the couple are planning their wedding whilst also looking to expand their bed and breakfast. Not only do the challenges of everyday life cause a stir, but their unusual flatmates from different eras also lead to some turbulent situations.

The ensemble once again features Jan van Weyde, Max Giermann, Antje Widdra, Meltem Kaptan, Sebastian Schwarz, Sina Tkotsch and Alexander Khuon. Guest appearances have also been announced from, amongst others, Riccardo Simonetti, Merlin Sandmeyer and Jeannine Michaelsen.

The scripts are written by head writer Tanja Sawitzki, along with Nora Cummins and Fanny Nußbaumer. For the first time, Aki Wegner is directing all six episodes. Filming is set to continue until the end of July. The second series is scheduled for release in 2027 on the ARD Mediathek.
