HDF Kino has elected a new Executive Committee for the next three years. At the online general meeting on 3 July, members elected the 15 representatives to the committee and the auditors for the term of office running until 2029.

The Main Committee is made up of delegates from small, medium-sized and large cinema operators. Five of the 15 members will be joining the committee for the first time. The change in membership was particularly marked among the medium-sized cinema operators, whose representation has been largely renewed.

In the small businesses category, Johannes Austermann, Vincent Bresser, Verena Dollinger, Rainer Stoffels and Jurij Stroeve were elected. Medium-sized enterprises will in future be represented by Marion Closmann, Christin Cordes, Jens Heinze, Paulina Mertins and Julian Rüttgers. Juliane de Boer, Oliver Fock, Gregor Freund, Gregory Theile and Frank Thomsen will sit on the Main Committee on behalf of large enterprises.

The members elected Heike W. Grießer and Lydia Stuntebeck as auditors.

HDF Chair Christine Berg believes that, with its newly elected board, the association is well positioned to tackle the tasks ahead. The mix of experienced and new members reflects the diversity of the German cinema landscape and provides a solid foundation for jointly addressing the key challenges facing the cinema industry.

The Main Committee is the HDF Kino’s most important voluntary decision-making body and oversees the association’s work between general meetings.
