The Campus Production Alliance is launching „Leadership in Motion“, a new series of professional development courses for executives in the film and media industry. The four-part programme is aimed at producers, managing directors, production managers and other professionals in leadership roles.
According to the Production Alliance’s continuing professional development centre, the aim of this series of seminars is to help strengthen leadership skills within the industry in the long term. The focus is on the strategic, communicative and personal aspects of modern leadership, linked to the specific requirements of production practice.
The content is based, amongst other things, on the principles of the Respect Code Film for fair working conditions on set, which was signed at the end of 2024. The aim is to provide managers with practical tools for dealing with complex production workflows, team leadership and change processes.
„Many experienced executives in our industry are currently facing a twofold challenge: they must steer companies and production operations through economically challenging times whilst at the same time finding solutions to the growing demands on collaboration, communication and team leadership,“ says Jennifer Stahl, Managing Director of the Produktionsallianz Campus.
The series comprises four modules: It kicks off in September with the seminar „Leadership: Reducing Stress & Focus“ in Hamburg, which focuses on self-management, prioritisation and coping with a heavy workload. This will be followed by the modules „Leadership & Networking“ (October, Hamburg), „Leadership & Team Management“ (November, Berlin) and „Leadership & Change Management“ (December, Berlin).
The training programme, funded by the Medienboard and the German Federal Film Board (FFA), is designed to help managers position companies and teams for the future during a period of structural change – including with regard to issues such as new ways of working and the use of artificial intelligence.
