For the new six-part crime series „Keltenburg“ (working title) Filming has begun. The production is being made on behalf of SWR for ARD and will take place in the Black Forest, Alsace and Middle Franconia until early October.

The series was created by Kristin Derfler, who has written all six screenplays and is also involved in the project as creative producer. The film is directed by Andreas Herzog. The lead roles of the investigators, Tessa Raukamp and Chau Pham, are played by Julia Jentsch and Mai Duong Kieu.

At the heart of the plot is a mysterious murder at a remote forest lake in the Black Forest. The investigation leads the two detectives into the isolated community of Keltenburg, which promotes a lifestyle in harmony with nature. Behind the community’s façade, however, they uncover family entanglements, conflicts of loyalty and a long-suppressed crime that appears to be linked to the current murder case.

Alongside Julia Jentsch and Mai Duong Kieu, the cast includes Carlo Krammling, Lucas Gregorowicz, Hannah Schiller, Karoline Eichhorn, Florian Stetter, Holger Daemgen, Gloria Odosi, Sascha Geršak and Naomi Krauss on the cast. The camera takes over Claire Jahn.

„Keltenburg“ (working title) is directed by AMALIA FILM in co-production with STUDIO ALBA PRODUCTIONS and produced by SWR. The producer is Jean-Young Kwak, executive producer Claudia Thieme. The editorial team is responsible for Katharina Dufner and Manfred Hattendorf. The production is funded by the MFG Baden-Württemberg and the German Motion Picture Fund.

A broadcast date for the series has not yet been announced.
