Filming has begun on Tenerife for the six-part young adult romance series „FIND ME“ (working title) has begun. The production, based on the novel of the same name by Kathinka Engel, will run until 29 October 2026 and is being staged by REAL FILM BERLIN and Anthill Road Productions Produced for ZDFneo.
The story centres on Tamsin (Hannah Gharib), who is looking for a fresh start at a Californian college following a failed relationship. Together with her best friend Zelda (Lucy Gartner), she throws herself into campus life. There she meets Rhys (Pablo Elias Vuletić), who initially seems aloof. The two meet again shortly afterwards in a university rehabilitation programme. Tamsin is volunteering there, whilst Rhys is taking part as a participant. She learns that he spent his youth in prison and is now trying to find his feet in a world that is completely new to him.
As Tamsin helps him make up for lost experiences, a bond of trust gradually develops between the two of them. At the same time, Rhys is haunted by his past: he is trying to protect his younger sister from his former stepfather, the man who once sent him to prison.
In addition to Gharib, Gartner and Vuletić, the list includes, amongst others, Salif Dekamo Botz Kamara, Emil Baikousis, Melodie Simina, Jonas Ems, Katharina Wackernagel and Ken Duken See the cast.
Direct Antonia Leyla Schmidt and Stephan Rick. The screenplays were written by Annika Cizek, Myriam Utz and Helena Hofmann.
„FINDE MICH“ is produced by Henning Kamm and Wilma Harzenetter for REAL FILM BERLIN, the executive producer is Stephanie Lanzinger involved. Representing Anthill Road Productions are Helena Hofmann as a producer and Leonie Rudloff as producer. Service production in Tenerife is handled by SunnysideUp Canarias under the direction of producer Rolf Wappenschmitt. The editorial team at ZDF is headed by Elisabeth Müller-Lang.
The series thus combines a classic young adult romance story with themes of new beginnings, trust and coming to terms with one’s own past. A broadcast date for ZDFneo has not yet been announced.
