Filming has begun on two further films for the fourth series of the ZDF Herzkino series „Neuer Wind im Alten Land“. The episodes „Die Frau mit den tollen Schuhen“ (working title) and „Vermächtnis“ (working title), starring Felicitas Woll in the lead role, are currently being filmed in the Elbmarsch region near Hamburg and in the Berlin area.

In *The Woman with the Fabulous Shoes*, journalist Beke finds herself up against a cunning con artist. After witnessing a jewellery scam, Beke investigates a series of similar cases and tracks down the mysterious culprit. At the same time, her private life is becoming increasingly turbulent: her relationship with Paul Harms (Steve Windolf) and her plans for the future in the Altes Land are being called into question.

The twelfth film, „Legacy“, once again plunges Beke into a personal conflict. Her former colleague Lucy Fine (Lin Gothoni) offers her the chance to return to the „New York Times“. Whilst Beke is deciding on her professional future, she investigates the historic Barkholt shipyard, which, following its sale to a US investor, is on the brink of being completely dismantled. The workers’ fight to save the shipyard becomes another case for Beke – and, at the same time, a decision about her own future.

Alongside Felicitas Woll, the cast includes Steve Windolf, Marion Kracht, Volker Meyer-Dabisch, Pia Barucki, Martina Schöne-Radunski, Shenja Lacher, Diyar Ilhan and Lin Gothoni, amongst others.

Both films are directed by Dagmar Seume. The screenplays are by Kirsten Peters („The Woman with the Great Shoes“) and Sophia Krapoth („Legacy“). Filming is expected to continue until 6 October 2026.

The two films are being produced by REAL FILM Berlin GmbH on behalf of ZDF. The producer is Jakob Krebs, and the executive producer is Paul Dehn. Andreas Tams is responsible for cinematography. Beate Bramstedt is the editorial manager for ZDF.

The fourth series of „Neuer Wind im Alten Land“ will therefore be extended by two further episodes. A broadcast date for the new episodes has not yet been confirmed.
