Filming has begun on *Lassie and the Legend of the Wild Bear* (working title). Since 15 September, the new cinema adventure, directed by Mara Eibl-Eibesfeldt, has been in production, initially in Brandenburg. Other filming locations include Berlin and South Tyrol.
This family film is being produced by Henning Ferber in co-production with DCM Pictures. The cast includes, amongst others, Andrea Sawatzki, Aylin Tezel, Maximilian Mundt, Nico Marischka and Olympia Glass. Nico Marischka reprises his role as Flo, whilst Olympia Glass makes her debut alongside him as Nova.
The story centres on Lassie’s adventures with Flo and Nova at a campsite. The two of them find themselves caught up in a tale involving a bear and wildlife smugglers.
DCM is planning a nationwide cinema release in autumn 2027. Following *Lassie: An Adventurous Journey* and *Lassie: A New Adventure*, this is the third cinema production on which Henning Ferber and DCM are collaborating.
The new film will therefore once again be produced as a German-international co-production: as well as the German filming locations of Brandenburg and Berlin, filming will also take place in South Tyrol.
