Skady Lis has been Managing Director of Tobis Filmproduktion since 1 October 2026. She joins Timm Oberwelland and Magnus Vortmeyer on the management team and takes on operational responsibility for film production. With this appointment, the film distributor aims to further expand its in-house productions.

Lis has previously worked as Head of Physical Production and a producer at Tobis. The projects she has been involved in include the film adaptations of the best-selling novels *Lies About My Mother* by Aron Lehmann and *A Whole Life* by Hans Steinbichler. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and producing her own film projects. Tobis owner Timm Oberwelland remains responsible for the creative direction of the company’s in-house productions.

According to the company, production and distribution are to be even more closely integrated in future. The company’s own film productions are thus set to become even more important within its corporate strategy.

Lis has many years’ experience in German and international film production. After working at X Verleih and X Filme, she founded the production company Getaway Pictures in 2010, which specialised in international co-productions with a focus on Northern and Eastern Europe. She has been working for Tobis since 2021.
