MV Filmförderung and ZDF are continuing their partnership to support emerging film talent in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The „Fifty-Fifty“ programme, which was launched in 2022, has been extended until 30 June 2028.

Both partners will each provide up to 600,000 euros over a two-year period for film projects by emerging filmmakers. There is no set limit on the number of productions to be funded.

The programme is aimed at emerging talent in the fields of directing, screenwriting and production. Support is available for feature films, documentaries and animated films, hybrid formats and mini-series with a running time of at least 40 minutes. A particular focus is placed on contemporary projects that break new ground in terms of form or content.

With this extension, ZDF is continuing its regional funding partnerships. Similar agreements are already in place with MFG Baden-Württemberg, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung and HessenFilm.
